Fantastic Start at Forest School for Year 1 at Pine Ridge

The students in Maple Class are attending Forest School this term and have had a fantastic start with some very exciting activities.
The children have been creating their own tree faces. To make the features they used clay and other things they found in the woodland such as sweet chestnut cases for eyes (that needed very careful handling!), acorns and sticks. Others have been making potions, chasing “giants”, climbing trees and learning how to light the fire safely.
This week we made our own natural entrance curtain Forest School out of leaves - so we now have a dramatic entrance to our fire circle.
