Environment and Sustainability
Pupils develop and deliver environmental projects within their schools and local communities. Projects are presented and judged based on their creativity, impact and sustainability.
2025 - 2026
As part of the GLF Schools Drama, Art and Eco Showcase, students from across the Trust came together to share their ideas for a more sustainable future. The Eco Showcase provided a platform for young people to present innovative environmental projects, demonstrating creativity, collaboration and a strong commitment to sustainability.
Throughout the day, students confidently showcased their work, discussing the inspiration behind their projects and explaining the thinking that shaped their ideas. From imaginative designs for sustainable cities to practical solutions for environmental challenges, the standard of work on display reflected both the creativity and environmental awareness of our students. Schools also took part in judging and voting, helping to recognise the most impactful and innovative submissions.
The showcase highlighted the importance of empowering young people to think critically about the world around them and to develop solutions for a more sustainable future. The event celebrated not only outstanding projects, but also the confidence, teamwork and innovation demonstrated by every participant.
Congratulations to all students who took part, and especially to our Eco Showcase winners: Cherry Fields Primary School, which won the Primary Eco Project award, and de Stafford School, which was named Secondary Eco Project winner. Their projects stood out for their creativity, originality and thoughtful approach to sustainability.
The Eco Showcase was a fantastic example of how young people across GLF Schools are engaging with environmental issues and using their creativity to inspire positive change.
