Boundless Netball Tournament

Hosted by Rosebery School, the Boundless Festival Netball Tournament brought together students from across GLF Schools for a fantastic day of sport, teamwork and friendship.

The event was filled with energy and excitement as pupils proudly represented their schools, demonstrating determination, resilience and excellent sportsmanship throughout the competition. Beyond the matches themselves, the tournament provided valuable opportunities for students to build confidence, form new friendships and connect with peers from across the Trust.

The day perfectly reflected the spirit of the Boundless Festival, showcasing how participation in sport helps young people thrive both on and off the court. Congratulations to Rosebery School who won both the KS3 and KS4 tournaments.

Boundless Football Festival

Students from across GLF Schools came together at Glyn School for the Boundless Football Festival, a day dedicated to sport, teamwork and school pride. Featuring Year 7 girls’, Year 7 boys’ and primary tournaments, the event provided opportunities for pupils to represent their schools and compete in a positive, supportive environment.

Across the day, students demonstrated determination, resilience and excellent sportsmanship, embodying the values at the heart of the Boundless programme. Meridian High School were crowned Year 7 girls’ champions, Highdown School won the Year 7 boys’ competition, and Whyteleafe Primary School claimed the primary title.

More than just a sporting event, the festival helped build confidence, foster new friendships and bring together young people from across the Trust. Thank you to Glyn School, participating schools, staff and volunteers for making the day such a success

Boundless Basketball Festival

The GLF Schools Basketball Festival brought together students from across the Trust for a fantastic day of competition, teamwork and sporting achievement. Hosted by Glyn School, the event featured Years 8/9 and Years 10/11 tournaments, showcasing the growing strength of basketball across our schools.

Students impressed with their skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout a series of closely contested matches. Meridian High School emerged victorious in the Years 8/9 competition, while Glyn School were awarded the Years 10/11 title following an exciting final. The Beacon School also delivered an outstanding performance, with both teams reaching their respective finals.

The festival was a celebration of collaboration and opportunity, highlighting the power of sport to build confidence, develop leadership skills and connect students from across the GLF community.

Boundless Chess Tournament

More than 100 students from 22 GLF schools gathered at Meridian High School for the Boundless Chess Tournament, delivered in partnership with Chess in Schools. The event celebrated strategic thinking, focus and sportsmanship, bringing together primary and secondary pupils for a day of friendly competition.

Students demonstrated impressive skill and composure throughout the tournament, competing in both team and individual categories. Glyn School secured first place in the secondary competition, while Cuddington Croft topped the primary standings after a closely fought contest. Individual honours were also awarded to several outstanding players from across the Trust.

Beyond the competition itself, the tournament provided valuable opportunities for students to connect with peers, develop confidence and celebrate a shared love of learning. Congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and exemplary sportsmanship.
