Boundless Festival Drama, Art & Eco Showcase

On 29th June 2026, students and staff from across GLF Schools came together at Highdown School for a vibrant celebration of creativity, performance and sustainability.

The Drama, Art and Eco Showcase highlighted the talent, imagination and passion of young people across the Trust, providing opportunities to perform, exhibit and share their work with peers from different schools. From engaging drama performances and inspiring artwork to innovative environmental projects, the event showcased the breadth of creativity within our school community.

The event was expertly compered by GLF Foundation Ambassador and alumnus Jack Pepper, often described as ‘The King’s Composer’ and the next Andrew Lloyd Webber. He brought fantastic energy throughout, performing In Tune and Harmony, and even leading a few impromptu singalongs.

More than a celebration of achievement, the showcase fostered confidence, connection and belonging. Thank you to all students, staff, volunteers and judges who made the event such a memorable success.

Chestnut Park Pupils Take Their Rap Club to the Recording Studio

Pupils at Chestnut Park Primary School showcased their creativity, confidence and love of language through the school's Rap Club, where they spent the term writing lyrics, developing performance skills and creating original music. The club encouraged pupils to explore storytelling, rhythm and rhyme while collaborating to write two original tracks.

With support from the GLF Schools' Foundation, the young artists visited Crown Lane Studio, where they recorded their songs using professional equipment and gained first-hand experience of the music production process. The opportunity allowed pupils to see their hard work come to life in a real-world creative environment and build their confidence as performers.

One of the tracks, Chestnut Park Is In Our Hearts, celebrated school life and the importance of learning. Following its release on major streaming platforms, the song gave pupils the opportunity to share their work with a wider audience and showcase the talent flourishing within the school community.

The project highlighted the positive impact of the arts in education, helping pupils develop communication skills, teamwork and self-belief. Thanks to the dedication of Rap Club leaders Aekino James and Kareem Myers, the support of staff and the backing of the GLF Schools' Foundation, the experience became a memorable milestone for the pupils involved.
