Pride, Passion and Play: Pupils Unite at GLF Boundless Football Festival

On Friday 19th June, Glyn School proudly hosted the GLF Schools Foundation Boundless Football Festival, bringing together pupils from across the Trust for a full day of sport, teamwork, and celebration.

The festival featured three exciting tournaments:

  • Year 7 Girls Tournament
  • Year 7 Boys Tournament
  • Primary Festival Tournament

Across all three competitions, the day was filled with energy, determination, and a fantastic spirit of camaraderie, as pupils represented their schools with pride.

Tournament Winners

  • Year 7 Girls Champions: Meridian High School
  • Year 7 Boys Champions: Highdown School
  • Primary Champions: Whyteleafe Primary School

Each tournament showcased not only strong footballing ability but also excellent teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship—values at the heart of the Boundless programme.

Year 7 Boys Tournament:
Aureus, de Stafford, Beacon, Highdown, Meridian, Merstham, Glyn

Year 7 Girls Tournament:
Highdown, Beacon, Merstham, Rosebery, Meridian

Primary Tournament:
Chestnut Park, Cordwalles, Danetree, Greenway, Lightwater Village, Lime Tree, Salfords, The Vale and Whyteleafe

 

More Than Just Football

The festival perfectly reflected the aims of the GLF Schools Foundation, providing inclusive opportunities for young people to come together, build confidence, and experience something beyond the classroom—regardless of background. For many pupils, this was a chance to represent their school in a Trust-wide event, develop friendships, and enjoy a memorable day of sport in a supportive environment. A huge thank you goes to Glyn School for hosting, to staff and volunteers who supported throughout the day, and to all schools who made the effort to attend and participate with such enthusiasm.

 

The Boundless Football Festival continues to grow as a flagship event across GLF, creating opportunities that inspire, connect, and empower young people.
