Kelly Timpson

Kelly joined GLF Schools in November 2019, becoming the Chief People Officer in May 2026. In addition to leading the Trust’s People and Culture Strategy, Kelly has overall accountability for the Teaching School Hub, Governance and Executive Support functions. 

Kelly has worked in Human Resources in the education sector since 1999. During a career break to raise her children, she gained valuable experience in schools, starting as a Teaching Assistant and progressing to an unqualified teacher before returning to HR. This has given her a strong understanding of school life and informs the practical insight she brings to the Trust’s people and organisational priorities. 

She has extensive experience in recruitment, talent management, and succession planning, alongside employee engagement and staff development, and brings deep expertise across all aspects of HR, including HR operations, complex restructuring, and industrial relations.
