Phil Humphreys

Phil Humphreys is the Chief Education Officer at GLF Schools, with responsibility for educational strategy, school improvement and standards across the Trust’s family of schools. Phil is an experienced system leader with over 20 years’ success improving outcomes across primary and secondary phases, including leading large‑scale improvement in multi‑academy trusts.
Before joining GLF, Phil held senior national roles at Lift Schools, Academies Enterprise Trust and Oasis Community Learning, overseeing school performance, safeguarding, SEND, attendance and inclusion across complex and diverse contexts. He has a strong track record of strengthening leadership, raising inspection outcomes and securing sustainable improvement.
Phil also contributes to national education policy, including work on attendance and inclusion, and is passionate about building inclusive, high‑performing schools where all children can thrive.
