Bethan Smith

Bethan Smith is an experienced systems leader with over 25 years in education, having worked across a wide range of schools and settings. She is proud to have progressed within GLF Schools from Headteacher to Executive Headteacher, and most recently into the role of Regional Education Director.

In her current role, Bethan leads school improvement across multiple GLF schools, providing strategic challenge and support, coaching leaders, and strengthening teaching, curriculum, inclusion and outcomes. Bethan is recognised for her strong strategic leadership, her ability to build capacity, and her track record in securing sustainable improvement over time, underpinned by evidence-informed practice and high expectations.

School improvement is her professional passion. She has completed the NPQH and NPQEL and has also served as a National Leader of Education.
