Starry celebration for Aureus students

It was a star-studded affair when the Class of 2026 from Aureus School in Didcot came together to celebrate at their end-of-year Prom.

The Year 11 leavers arrived at the Milton House Hotel in style for the event, drawing up at the venue in a host of different vehicles, from
classic and vintage motors, to sports cars.

They were also dressed for the occasion, with a colourful variety of ball gowns, cocktail dresses, and evening suits giving an appropriate sparkle to the evening, which had the theme ‘A Night Under the Stars’.

Entertainment included a disco, while the partygoers also enjoyed drinks and a buffet.

Hannah Powell, Assistant Headteacher at Aureus, helped organise the celebration on Thursday 15 June.

“I feel that Prom is a rite of passage when you reach the end of Year 11, and is also an event that has been the topic of many conversations throughout the year,” she said. “They have been a bubbly, conscientious group this year, and I hope their hard work pays off when they receive their exam results later in the summer.”

Aureus School is a five-form mixed entry school based in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The school joined GLF Schools in September 2017 and has classes from Year 7 to Year 11.
