GLF Schools appoints new Chief Education Officer
BackGLF Schools is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chief Education Officer to its senior leadership team as the Trust, which runs 43 schools, continues to develop a strong reputation for excellence in education.
Phil Humphreys brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of educational leadership across a range of settings. Most recently, he served as Director of Education at Lift Schools, where he led the education strategy spanning Early Years to Post-16, including special schools.
Under his leadership, the Trust saw significant improvements in outcomes across all key stages and a rise in the proportion of schools rated 'Good' or better by Ofsted from 72% to 95%.
Phil’s career has been marked by a commitment to inclusive education, strategic improvement, and empowering school leaders. He has held senior roles including Executive Principal, Regional Education Director, and Director of Secondary Education, and has led initiatives in safeguarding, SEND, curriculum development, and financial planning. His work has been recognised nationally, with contributions to DfE policy and best practice frameworks.
