Salfords Primary School and Nursery has officially unveiled their new playground, which features climbing equipment, puzzle games and areas for play.
The new playground, which was constructed during a four week period in the summer, will be used by over 100 children in Reception and Nursery.
The space was formally opened yesterday, with the opening attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Reigate and Banstead Borough Council. James Nicholson, interim CEO of GLF Schools Trust, was also in attendance.
Claire Regnard, Headteacher at Salfords, commented: “It’s great to see our new play area formally open and in use by our children. The space encourages curiosity and creativity, and I know our children will love it. “It was a great pleasure to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress to the official opening, and we look forward to hosting them again soon.”
This new play area is the latest success for Salfords. Last month, the school’s PTA was awarded a Volunteer Team of the Year Award at the The Reigate & Banstead Volunteer Awards.
