Cherry Fields Choir Club Shines with "The Wizard of Oz" Performance
Back
This year, the Cherry Fields Choir has been hard at work, and their performance of a Wizard of Oz medley marked a key moment in their musical journey. After their successful debut at the "Children Singing for Children" concert, the choir continued to rehearse and improve, preparing to enter the Boundless Festival.
The 25 talented children from Years 2, 3, and 4 were up for the challenge, learning a medley of songs from The Wizard of Oz, which stretched their abilities.
The choir's performance wasn't just for their classmates; it was an opportunity to share their music with the wider community, including special guests from Green Pastures Care Home and members of the local arts community. The response was incredibly positive.
Claire Robertson, Headteacher, said "Cherry Fields Choir performed with such energy and enthusiasm as they presented songs from The Wizard of Oz to our wider community," We were joined by our friends from Green Pastures Care Home, who said it was a joy from start to finish. We were also thrilled to have members of our local arts community with us. The dedication shown by all the children was clear to see, and we've received fantastic feedback. Well done to the Cherry Fields Choir!"
