Pupils at Lime Tree Primary School have been enjoying a thrilling introduction to the ancient sport of archery.
Specialist archers from Premier Education gave children from Reception through to Year 6 the opportunity to learn the sport of archery in engaging and fun sessions. The event proved to be a resounding success, with both children and staff providing overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The focus on teamwork and encouragement was evident throughout the sessions, and the excitement was palpable as children took aim and successfully hit the target.
Emma Skipper, Headteacher, Lime Tree Primary School said: "It was fantastic to see the children so engaged and enthusiastic. Every single child managed to fire arrows towards the targets, and there were plenty of cheers as they found their mark. The concentration and resilience displayed by the children in each session were truly impressive. Sessions like this help with building both confidence and teamwork, and the benefits can then be seen in the classroom"
The coach from Premier Education also provided excellent feedback, noting how much they enjoyed working with the students at Lime Tree.
