GLF Students Shine at the Boundless Festival Debating Competition

On Friday 11 February, students from across GLF Schools gathered at the iconic Oval Cricket Ground for the annual Boundless Festival Debating Competition—a day that showcased exceptional talent, teamwork, and compelling oracy skills.

Teams from The Vale Primary School, Frogmore Junior School, Cordwalles Junior School, Danetree Primary School, Greenway Junior School, Lime Tree Primary School, Meridian High School, Merstham Park School, Glyn School, Rosebery School, Aureus School, de Stafford, and The Beacon School took to the stage to debate challenging topics with confidence and creativity.

The atmosphere was electric throughout the event as pupils presented well-crafted arguments, responded thoughtfully to counterpoints, and demonstrated remarkable poise under pressure. Judges and staff alike praised the high standard of debate, noting the students’ maturity and passion for critical thinking.

After a series of closely contested rounds, Frogmore Junior School and Meridian High School emerged as this year’s champions, earning well-deserved recognition for their articulate reasoning and strong teamwork.

GLF Schools extends a huge congratulations to all participating teams for representing their schools with such enthusiasm and skill. The event was a testament to the power of student voice and the importance of providing opportunities for young people to develop their confidence and communication.
